The Decision Makers
The decision makers in the research phase of the adaptation strategy development process were NRCan. The decision makers for implementation of this process are the communities of Delta and Tsawwassen, the Greater Vancouver Regional District (GVRD), and Provincial government agencies. Local residents, homeowners, businesses (farmers, Port of Vancouver, etc.), the Tsawwassen First Nation, tourists and those using facilities will all be affected by the outcomes of the adaptation strategy development process. Each of these stakeholders was involved in the decision process from the start. The scale of decision process outcomes is local, with implications for the larger lower mainland region.
