Based on the predictions, potential impacts to park resources were assessed and identified. For this purpose, a literature review on climate change impacts in the region and of previously identified concerns in park management plans and documents was undertaken. Information gathered through stakeholders in workshops (attended by park users, interest groups, tourism operators, and management staff) also shed light on potential impacts. Three priority impact areas were identified through this process: ecosystem shifts and the impact on alpine meadows; increase in natural disturbances such as wildfire and insect outbreaks; and the impacts to glaciers, snowpack, and hydrology. These are summarized in Table 2.
